David Bierman
David Bierman has a keen willingness to listen, find common ground and develop creative solutions in mediation that suit every party. Prior to becoming a full-time mediator, he owned a dynamic Seattle-based law firm. For more than fifty years, Bierman Law Firm and its predecessors prided themselves in assisting clients in navigating the maze of civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution.
Mr. Bierman has litigated cases in state and federal court and argued before the Washington State Court of Appeals and Washington State Supreme Court. He served as an arbitrator in more than 250 cases in King and Snohomish Counties and mediated hundreds of cases as an attorney for one of the parties. He also served on both the Professionalism and Legal Assistants Committees of the King County Bar Association.
Getting the parties to yes
is what David Bierman does best.
David Bierman now focuses on being strictly a neutral and handling mediations. His extensive experience as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel provides him with dual perspective and the unique view of “both sides of the coin” in every situation – and the ability to facilitate fair and equitable resolutions in each case. As an objective and knowledgeable neutral, he leverages three decades of litigating cases from “A-Z” and a vast reservoir of training and experience to guide the ultimate resolution of almost any case or scenario brought to him.
Mr. Bierman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Colorado and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puget Sound School of Law, now part of Seattle University. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time outside biking on the Burke Gilman Trail, swimming and traveling to far off lands.
